WHO WE ARE
SLI, LLC offers academic and cultural immersion programs through a customized service learning model for students, adult learners, families and employees. Each customized program is designed specifically to meet the needs of the participants with an emphasis on offering up personal and professional transformational experiences. Our service learning model allows participants the unique opportunity to connect intellectually, emotionally and physically with the mission of the program and those they serve. Our programs also facilitates participant learning through meaningful service experiences, which encourages and enables participants to positively impact the community. All SLI, LLC programs seek to bring participants and communities together in partnership to share resources, meet real community needs, educate and help to inspire and motivate participants to become the change agents of tomorrow.

Program Goals
Every Service Learning International LLC program is customized to meet the specific goals and objectives of the participants or host group. However, there are some common goals to each program…

To allow participants the opportunity to apply their learning through related service experiences in the local community while in country;

To enable participants to provide needed assistance to local indigenous NGOs and to the people served by those agencies;

To facilitate mutual cultural understanding between the participants and those they serve;

To create opportunities for leaders to emerge through a transformative experience; and lastly,

To develop lasting relationships and friendships that transcend any program.
